CRUISING TURKEY & GREECE - 1996
Ephesus
Ephesus is in Turkey and is referenced in the Bible's Book of Acts. It is also to the religious leaders of this town that the "Letter to the Ephesians" was written. Walking through the ruins of such an ancient city makes you feel very small. The marble roads still have deep narrow ruts from chariot wheels, and you can't help but feel history hanging over the place. The picture to the left is a close-up of some of the ruins.
The picture to the right shows more of the ancient city. The big white facade in the background is part of the old library's front wall.
Sure all this history is great - but what would it be without a camel picture?
